With pricing elements changing throughout the year, it’s harder than ever to keep up with how UPS and FedEx rate increases and surcharges impact your business. Off-cycle adjustments are becoming the norm — not the exception. TransImpact highlights the key 2025 updates you need to know.

Domestic Express & Ground Fuel Surcharge percentages increased by 1% for Domestic Express & 1.75% for Ground and Home Delivery.

Effective Feb. 10 — Ground Economy DAS will increase from $4.00 to $6.20 & Extended DAS will rise from $5.35 to $8.30 (55% increase, in line with UPS SurePost DAS).

Applicable zone pricing will change for certain origin/destination ZIP code pairs.

Fuel surcharge percentages will increase by 0.5% for Domestic Air & Domestic Ground/SurePost.

FedEx announced a domestic & international fuel surcharge, a 2% increase over the previous surcharge amount.

FedEx international package and express freight shipments that exceed the maximum allowed dimensions and weight will incur the applicable Unauthorized Package or Unauthorized Freight Charge.

FedEx AHS for zones 5-6 increased — dimensions from $34 to $36, weight from $50.50 to $52.75, and packaging from $30.50 to $31.

FedEx Oversize: surcharge increased: zone 2 from $205 to $240, zones 3-4 from $225 to $260, zones 5-6 from $240 to $297.50, zones 7+ from $260 to $305. Home Delivery zones 5-6 will increase from $290 to $297.50.
