FedEx Implements New Demand Surcharge for Shipments to Canada

FedEx has announced a new Demand Surcharge Fee on exports to Canada, effective June 2:

$0.49 per lb. for Export Parcel and Freight to Canada

$0.49 per package for FedEx International Ground to Canada.

Note that this new FedEx fee is similar to the UPS Surge Fee on shipments to Canada that went into effect May 18.

There was no end date announced for either fee.
