FedEx has announced that effective January 13, 2025 Additional Handling Surcharge (AHS) – Dimension packages will be subject to a minimum billable weight of 40 lbs.
Prior to this announcement, there was no minimum billable weight applicable to any Additional Handling Surcharge. Note that Additional Handling Surcharge – Weight and Packaging are not subject to the new Additional Handling 40 lbs. minimum billable weight rule.
This change matches the UPS rule change implemented on October 21 of this year.
