Effective January 16, 2022, UPS will implement a peak surcharge of $0.30 USD per package on UPS Standard service to the U.S. from Canada, and $0.42 CAD per package on Trade Direct shipments from the U.S. to Canada. These are new non-holiday peak surcharges and have no announced end date.
Noteworthy is that these new surcharges are on the heels of other open-ended surcharges UPS announced on December 21, 2021.
