UPS has announced their 2021 GRI on SurePost, the second rate increase for SurePost packages since October of this year which saw a $.24 rate hike.

The SurePost minimum will see a 4.95% increase, while the 1 to 10 lbs. weight breaks will see an average increase of 4.65% over the October increases.
When comparing the increases to those from one year ago (not including October’s increase,) the SurePost minimum has gone up by 7.87%. The average increase for SurePost packages weighing from 1 to 10 lbs. is 6.55%.
Of note is that the SurePost less than 1 lb. rates will see an average increase of 4.64% from October and 7.2% from one year ago. Delivery Area Surcharge (DAS) SurePost and DAS Extended SurePost also see the largest increases of any accessorials in the 2021 GRI with 20.51% and 20.41% increases, respectively.
