eTrac Podcast | The Final Mile with Guest Brian Byrd

Transportation Impact’s own EVP, Brian Byrd, was a recent guest on the eTrac Podcast: THE FINAL MILE. Brian discussed the state of parcel as we finish 2020 and head into 2021.

Brian begins by explaining how the impact of COVID-19 has caused a surge in eCommerce activity, which has rippled through and changed the parcel industry. “Once we got through the shut down and businesses started to open back up, there was a pent up demand and most of that surge in activity was from that pent up demand, and now the change in characteristics was obviously tailored to eCommerce.”

The discussion moves quickly from how we got here, to how we move forward, with Brian outlining the obstacles and steps we have to take in order to do so properly.
