Transportation Impact has been named to the 2018 Grant Thornton North Carolina 100 (NC100), which ranks the state’s largest private companies by revenue.

Since Byrd and co-founder Travis Burt started the company in 2008, Transportation Impact has grown to nearly 900 customers and 80 employees, with a forecast revenue of $40 million for 2018. The company specializes in helping high-volume small package and freight shippers reduce the costs associated with those services, and this year is projected to save customers an average of 19.9% on their shipping spend.
To date, TI has managed over a billion dollars of logistics spend and has helped its customers save more than $384 million.
“Our goal when we started this business was to reach high and get there fast,” said Burt. “Earning this award for the third year in a row is confirmation that we are on track with that objective.
