Transportation Impact announced today that Pat McCrory, who served as governor of North Carolina from 2013–2017, has accepted an invitation to join the Board of Directors for the two sister companies.
During McCrory’s tenure as governor, more than 300,000 new private sector jobs came to North Carolina. As mayor and governor, he worked closely with presidents Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump, while serving on the executive boards of the national Mayors and Governors associations.

Pat McCrory first gained national prominence as the seven-term mayor of Charlotte, where he helped build a once-sleepy southern town into a thriving metropolitan city. As governor of North Carolina, Pat’s leadership skills helped accomplish successful tax reform, transportation reform, debt pay-off, teacher pay raises, and a bond referendum to support universities, parks, and the National Guard.
He also has extensive private sector experience, having worked for Duke Energy Company and Moore & Van Allen, and having served on a number of corporate boards, including the Transportation Impact Advisory Board, which he joined in 2016. He currently hosts the Pat McCrory show on station 1110 WBT and radio.com in addition to a national radio podcast, and he is a rotating panelist on Meet the Press.
