Transportation Impact is excited to announce that David Heath will be joining the company’s leadership team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. Heath will oversee all areas related to finance for the Emerald Isle-based parcel and freight spend management firm.

“As part of our continued growth, we have created the new position of CFO, which we were looking to fill with a seasoned finance professional, and we are thrilled that David will be joining the TI family in that role. His wealth of experience and expertise will be a substantial asset,” said Berkley Stafford, President, Transportation Impact.

David Heath most recently served as the CFO for a vertically integrated agricultural investment firm with nearly $2B in assets. While there, he led a global team across finance, human relations, legal, treasury, and investor relations. He also led the financial due diligence for the firm while they acquired multiple operating subsidiaries. Additionally, he represented the firm on the board of the various operating entities.

Prior to joining IFC, Heath worked with the Zurich-based investment bank Credit Suisse, where he served on a global team. As Vice President of Finance, he was responsible for financial reporting and regulatory compliance with teams in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, along with support staff in Asia, and served within the banking, insurance, asset management, and broker dealer product lines.

Earlier, Heath served the financial services sector with the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche, where he managed financial statement and compliance audit engagements ranging from small asset management firms to large complex financial and banking institutions.

David Heath received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Master’s in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is a licensed CPA in North Carolina.

David Heath and his wife, Mary Ann, have been married nearly 24 years and have four boys ranging in age from 11 to 22. Outside of work, he enjoys time on the water with his family, mentoring youth and teens, and volunteering frequently with the church and the local boy scouts. He is a huge supporter of the mission of the Boys and Girls Club and a Tarheels and Boston Red Sox fan.
